Hey All,

I am looking for travel insurance for my husband and I to go on a weeks holiday to Spain.

Thus far the cheapest I have found is over £1k, is this standard?

does anyone have any recommendations of insurers they have used and were happy with?

My cancer was only ever microscopic, it had just gotten around a bit, I am now on Niraparib but the last scan showed I am cancer free and I have a fit to travel letter from my oncologist.

can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thank you so much XXX

  • I used aviva last year but wouldnt insure me this year as I have a recurrence but it was cheap last year worth a try

  • Hi

We have a group dedicated to travel insurance and the link is here

    Travel Insurance Forum

There is a thread there where others have recommended the companies they’ve used, so that might be a good place to have a look through

It can be more expensive to get travel insurance with a cancer diagnosis, but I hope you’re able to find something there which is suitable. Personally, I’d recommended calling companies rather than trying to get a quote online as you can then make sure you’re answering all the questions needed correctly. Good luck!

  • Try Insure With

They have an online tool but I found it helpful to phone

  • I have used Allclear, they were very expensive (my husband and I were just desperate to get away) …  I now have a policy with insurancewith which was much easier to navigate and cheaper, I kept to a European policy as worldwide travel can hike up the price - obviously depends on individual health situation. Good luck, happy travels!
