Hey

Terrified

I had been having some right side tummy swelling but no mass felt by dr just more firmer slightly and sticks out more. Osteo discovered a leg length discrepancy and was convinced the firmness and slight fullness one side was because tummy muscle was stronger to compensate on one side...

Anyway had my transvaginal ultrasound and I need a repeat ultrasound just after period and a CA125 test as I had a folicle not gone back down. I was scanned around day 20/21 of my cycle.

When I saw abnormal scan on top of notes she was reading I almost died.

Weird thing is the sonographer at the time said to me without me asking 'I cannot see anything there to concern me' well he must have....

  • Hi  and welcome to the online community

I'm sorry to read that you're terrified and confused about your scan results and what happens next. I don't have any experience with ovarian cancer to share with you but I noticed that your post hadn't had any responses. This could be simply because the person with the right experience hasn't seen your post yet. By responding to you it will 'bump' your post back to the top of the page where it'll stand more chance of being seen.

I'm presuming that you've posted in this group because either your doctor has told you that they think you have ovarian cancer or you're worried that this might be the case. Of course it could be other things as well but you could take a look at this information from Macmillan which explains about the various tests and scans involved.

You may also find it helpful to talk your worries through with one of the specialist nurses on the Macmillan Support Line. You can call them for free on 0808 808 0000 and they're available every day from 8am to 8pm.

I do hope that it doesn't turn out to be cancer and do come back and let everyone in this group know how you get on.
