Hi there, I'm 1 wk post surgery. It's all happened so quick I'm still trying to process what's happened. Within 6wks went to go, referred to dermatology, local op to remove mole 5p sized on inner left knee. 2wks later confirmed melanoma 1.6mm. And 3wks after that I had wide excision and lymph node biopsy in groin. This has moved so fast. The mole had only appeared and grown irregular shape and patchy and itchy within 7months. last oct no mole at all. I just hope I haven't left it too late.
My question is that the leg wound feels ridiculously tight and throbbing by late afternoon. I'm resting all the time except toilet and to get a drink but it's still sore. It is swollen but not as much as I expect given the tight feeling. Is this normal or just a sensory issue as the actual wound is numb to touch. I'm taking ibuprofen.
I have a hospital appt with the skin clinic Friday afternoon.
Any suggestions? I still can't comprehend it's all for a mole!!
