Hi folks, my consultation with oncologist has been. Over from 23rd October to 3rd September as I want to discuss starting treatment. Oncologist seems determined to put me on 800 mg a day, but the only other person I know on that dose is Gragon, who is in this group. Another contact is just about to start Pazopanib, but is starting on 400mg for a month or so, if everything ok, up to 600mg. That sounds good to me. Anybody else had this quandary?
Starting new treatment is always worrying and I’m glad that you’ve had your consultation brought forward. I started on 800mg and went down to 600 which has been much more tolerable. The thing with pazopanib is that the side effects soon go if you stop taking it so the fact that I started on 800 makes no difference now. I hope you have a good consultation and reach the right decision for you.
I started on 800mg then decreased to 600ng, which works well for me. Also Gragon is on a trial,so a slightly different scenario.
Sue
