Hi, I had Kidney cancer surgery on 13 Jan, on 18 Jan had yo ho to A n E as I was bringing up loads of yellow phlegm. After 4 hour wait, blood test, ecg and chest xray, given antibiotics for 5 days . Now at week 4.5 I have got a really bad head cold, coughing, yellow phlegm and feeling rubbish to say the least. I have hardly been aware or mixed with a lot of people. Wondering if I should contact my GP or go to A n E again??
Hi Lola
I am sorry to hear that you have a really bad head cold after having surgery for kidney cancer.
I would suggest giving NHS111 a call and asking for some advice. They will be able to tell you whether it is something you can wait to see your GP for or whether you need to be seen quicker.
