Hi yesterday was my 67 th birthday wow have been a pensioner a whole year.
Another milestone I didn’t think I would reach in the dark days if May 2018 but I did.
Last night I chose Turkish restaurant to celebrate with family as a nod to my wonderful oncologist Dr Mehmet Sen at Leeds cancer centre. The above was an aubergine oven baked with flavourful mince onion tomatoes. Plus starter and baklava. Ok no spice but a dish that I didn’t think I would eat again. .
Hope thus helps everyone who undoubtedly eill/are following in my foot steps.

Five years on I'm OK with anything except the hottest curry...but then I was never a fan of that either. Red and white wine and even spirits are back on the menu but I avoid them. I enjoy a decent pint when we go away and only the occasional glass of red.
I'm munching a crispy croissant straight out of the oven as I type and I don't have a drink to hand at all.....
