Continuing to Journey (aka 12 Months On)

Hi Folks

Just stopped by to catch up with posts and to update on hubby.  He is now on mixed diet of pureed meals and Fortisip supplements via RIG.

Following a number of different attempts (some failed) to successfully puree meals to require consistency we have arranged delivery from Wiltshire Farm Foods, which has pureed meals to NHS standards for levels 4 & 5.  Hey presto, meals chosen by hubby and are both appealing and more to the point tasty.  These are going down a treat and less work for me.  Win, win situation.  Hopefully he may be able to progress the up the NHS levels but if not it is a psychological boost going from nil by mouth to being able to drink and eat, choosing what to eat and enjoying food again.  We were sceptical of what the food would be like but decided to give it a go and glad we did.

Stay safe folks.
