I have recently being diagnosed with Parotid saliva duct cancer I’m 82 and have been offered ADT therapy (Testosterone) suppressant or surgery by removing the growth from the duct and rebuilding my face by taking a flap from my arm, also removing the lymph glands in my neck a long 8-9 hour operation and 7-10 days in hospital but it will get rid of the cancer. The ADT therapy will only stop the cancer but it will remain.
Has anyone had ATD therapy and if so what side effects did you suffer and were they manageable. I’m not sure to have the surgery or the ADT therapy.

That must be a very difficult choice.
i have been here for nearly eight years and i cant recall anybody having ADT.
It is a recognised treatment fir prostate cancer so maybe you could ask about side effects on the prostate group here

im not surprised you are in a dilemma. What sort of guidance did you get from both your surgeon and your oncologist?
Will the surgeon spare your facial nerve?
It seems such a terrible decision to make. The side effects can be profound. I can ask on the prostate cancer forum for you.
