The coming months will likely see you cured. Day by day this is doable. Just make sure you tell your radiographers every day how you feel and what you need. Do you have a feeding tube?

Having the exact same treatment on the exact same timeline. My treatment started on the 26th August. So far had I've really rough time on the Chemo (having to miss the second week due to severe dehydration and a adverse reaction (palpitations and tight chest) during my third.

Like you I'm having difficulty swallowing so soft feeds and using my rig (feeding tube to overcome the problem). Its not great and will likely get worse but am determined to persist. Prescription mouth washes and sprays my help. Im picking mine up on Monday after radiotherapy....

I find dissolvable Paracetamol helps and also drinking ginger ale.

No feeding tube yet. After the first week of treatment I’d put on weight which they seemed happy with. 

Not too sure about this week though. My energy has definitely decreased but my eating is about the same. 

It’s just nothing has any taste!

Good to hear from you. I started my treatment on the 31st of August. The first week I was not very well with Chemo, but this week was slightly better. 

I’m having bad headaches since the start and my neck swelled to the size of an apple during the first week. This has gone down but is very tender to touch and difficult to get comfortable at night time. 

Where are you being treated? I’m in Manchester and have been really happy with the way they have handled my situation so far. 

No feeding tube yet but if my throat continues to swell at the rate it is I think it may become an option.

I had an NG at the end of week three. It was honestly a life saver 

Dam - I'm i Lincolnshire. Being treated at Lincoln County General. After the first Chemo episode, dehydration, sickness etc I was immensely grateful I'd had the feeding  tube fitted. (I was originally thinking I wouldn't need it)

I was not only able to feed but also able to take fluids that way too as well as the liquid feeds without feeling quite so sick. I'm back using it as of yesterday as Ive continued to loose weight.

The lump in my lymph gland seems to have decreased in size though its tender to the touch. I'm using a cream provided by my oncology team called Flamagel which helps with that.

Hi hope your treatment is going well..how are you finding it,are you having radiotherapy for 6 weeks.

Im back at christies in 2 weeks after initial consultation- had big op on 2 tumours (grade3) successfully removed in may at Birmingham q.e.,was told at my christie visit that there is a residual tumour in same place,(gutted) and now waiting to see if further surgery is an option at brum OR radiotherapy for 6 weeks... I find the whole 6 weeks things rather daunting...
