Hiya please stick around, you’re now with people in the same boat and there’s some good stuff on this forum. think it would be unusual if I wasn’t taken aback by my initial diagnosis and the outline of the subsequent treatment plan. This was similar to yours but they clagged on chemotherapy as well. Over two years clear now with few discernible side effects. It was equally important for me, along with the expected side effects to look after my mental health. To that end I tried to get a little fitter and a little fatter lol before treatment. I kept occupied, this helped a little with becoming self-forgetting. I also kept copious notes on my iPad, appointments etc along with relevant uplifting stuff from this platform. Everyone’s different my friend but at the end of it all it boiled down to realising that a lot of things were outside of my control. Accepting which things which were (keeping every appointment and trusting my team) and trying to keep my eye on the ball and ignoring things which weren’t conducive to my peace of mind. Everyone has an opinion, the opinion of the professionals were the ones I took note of. There’s light at the end of the proverbial tunnel…One Day at a Time
