Rig help

no no white patches as yet my mouth is ok its just my throat so sore and this morning iam sure is now swollen as well it hurts so much now to swallow iam getting sick of it all now and just want it over iam half way thro treatment tomoz n that last day cant come quick enough i was managing tiny mouthfulls of normal foods yesterday but not so sure i going to manage that today as my throat so sore and iam not putting the fortisips through the rig as i wont get off the toilet and cant let that happen attending hospital every day so ama. bit worried tbh also even tho i been eating normal iam still loosing weight each week x

i was ment to finish on the 20th and thats my sons bday but as i was in hospital i. agony with the rig my treatment ended up delayed for a week so now my last r t is the 27th x

yes they said i would need teeth removing before r t started but as iam under the dental hospital having my teeth done due to all my front teeth top and bottom being weakened then knocked out having 6 lots of surgery on my throat for the 2 previous cancers so the teeth were already gone so luckily no teeth needed removing  

Good evening dpanky, when i had my first operation in 2008 my consultant told me he was aiming for a cure and he would do whatever was needed he was true to his word and he and his team did cure it in 2010, please try not to worry as i was just unfortunate that it took three operations to get on top of it, i have never regretted having the surgery and treatment. Your consultant will do his/her best to cure it so it does not affect your voicebox, stay positive and take things a day at a time. Good luck and take care.

thank you xx i do worry as this is the 3rd time but worse cancer so far as 6 ops got rid of it twice b4 on my vocal chords but i got to admit i was a smoker i gave up 1st time with cancer but after year i started smoking again so i blame myself this time as i smoked again but iam now 5 weeks smoke free and iam so scared this time ira frightened me to never want to smoke again so am praying witgiving up smoking it wont come back again

has your sylvia and mucus got thicker mine has started to thicken this morning its awfull 

Hi Donna I’m feeling really tired and keep dosing off even during typing a text! I’m just having soups or liquids now as my throat is like razor blades. At the moment I’m coping during the day but night time is a struggle with the dry mouth. I have been using my caphosol 4 times a day which really helps with saliver although sometimes I have too much but I’d rather that than the dry mouth. A man at the hospital has back of the tongue cancer that is inoperable and from week one he has very sticky phlegm and he is suffering so much in week 4. I’m having more RT on my tongue and my whole mouth, tongue and throat is swollen and I’m so fed up of staying indoors now. Are all your stitches out now? Xx

iam struggling so much today cant swallow at all just spitting out the drinks for tube going straight thro me so i not using em so not eating at all n just putting water thro my tube iam going to asfor a weeks brake tomoz not sure if this can be done but my throat so swollen n sore now it cant take any more this is the worst i been so far feel like iam choking my throat so swollen just dosing on morphine n sleeping i got to see nurses tomoz so going to ask if i can have a weeks brake b4 starting the last 15 sessions  

I’m having the same problems today Donna. Since eating is painful I decided to take all liquid food through my tube that turned into a disaster. Today I barely managed a warm cup of tea that I was unable to dunk a digestive biscuit in so gave up on the biscuit! For brekkie decided weetabix was too painful so had one whole bottle in the tube that took 30 mins which made me feel sick and my stomach sounded like a drain with constant running water! I tried  chicken and creamy pasta but now have bad indigestion so decided to go to bed at 3pm. Oh well onwards and upwards xx

Sorry I fell asleep with your page still open on my phone and must have pressed something. I still can’t get my head round how to use this website properly.

Ive also got diarrhoea with the liquid food and get bad indigestion so tomorrow i will try half a bottle then the other half 2 hours later xx
