Hi all. Can someone tell me at what point do you become a shielded person and what that has meant for you so far?
I think it depends very much upon what course of treatment you have had (or are having). I only had surgery (late Jan) and was advised just before lock down at a review meeting that I had no elevated risk from Covid-19. I was concerned that with throat surgery I was more susceptible, but apparently not. Others, especially if chemo is involved, may be advised differently.
You’ll need shielding from now.
It means staying at home.

You should be contacted by your council and you’ll get preferential supermarket delivery slots or food parcels if you can’t manage yourself.
