Good Morning,

I am currently waiting for an appointment at ENT due to tinnitus and cracking ears and a stuffy nose. But also had a cough that is hardly there now apart from a couple of times in the morning.
this has been going on since before Xmas, I have also noticed over the last couple of weeks that I have a very slight white patch on my tongue, I have also suffering with awful anxiety I can’t eat or sleep due to all of this going on... Help I don’t know what to do.

    Hi Nick002

I have literally just joined the group and yours is the first post that I have read. It is a very anxious time indeed! I was diagnosed about a month ago and now Covid-19, I have never felt so vulnerable. However, what I can do is to keep myself as safe as possible. I only go out to hospital appointments and home again. I have been for a PICC flush this morning and, happily, the only people that I saw, were professionals so felt very protected and safe.  Are you able to get a telephone consultation with a GP with reference to the white patch on your tongue? All that we can do in the current climate is to keep ourselves as safe as possible. I hope that your appointment comes through soon and that your anxiety subsides with a little passage of time. Take care.

  • Hi Nick sorry you’ve found yourself here. I can’t comment on your symptoms but I found myself in a situation where my GP was unconvinced that I had cancer but he did refer me urgently. It’s a long story. My appointment at the hospital was down graded by office staff so I took matters into my own hands and organised a private appointment. It’s easy to do and you get catapulted into the NHS if you have cancer.
It’s not fair jumping the queue but there it is.
Try not to jump to conclusions and not to worry. Hopefully it’s nothing serious

Maybe even get some 60s fashion advice.yes I feel vulnerable too  can't get mates along or anything to take mind off things. Just had someone on phone saying they're sorry to hear I had brain cancer. WHAT!!! You have to laugh.

    Be well
