Hi Paul I talked to my lump or Larry the lymph as he became known every morning first thing I did when I woke was touch it. Little did I know that the bug was spewing little ones I ended up with in oncologists words the big one a junior and a baby. Before I knew what it was I rubbed honey in it , warmed a wheat bag in microwave to put on as itvwas a swelling. Obviously nothing worked but when treatment started omg the radiotherapy certainly zapped him to eternity and his siblings then the chemo finished them off. Good luck for dentist keepn touch .dontv buy too many new clothes weight loss is practically guaranteed on this diet !!!!!!Yep mass reunion at some point , no,pun intended

I think we become conscious of our lumps thinking they have got bigger when they have hardly grown unless it's aggressive like all mine were so my diagnoses started from my first appointment, having x-rays, blood test and biopsies half an after my consultation. In a way, it had a good point in the fact that I knew what I had and how it was going to be treated, my feet did not touch the floor during the next two weeks going for scans, mask making etc. Not bad for someone who had never heard of Mouth/oral cancer yet within half an hour it was staring me in the face.
I'm sure you will be ok tomorrow Paul, my most hated thing is seeing a dentist and dental treatment, thank god I was soundo whenever dental surgery was done, yet I know people who LOVE, yes LOVE going to them. I'm sure your clothes fit just fine .
All the best for tomorrow, you can do it mate. What a reunion that would be, take care.
Chris .

But these hospital dentists are really slick with extractions. OK I had only one wisdom tooth out and that was post radio but there was no faffing, two shots of local ( the one in my palate was a bugger, mind! ) and it came out quick as a flash. I’ve had a smaller tooth out at my own dentist and I can tell you he made a worse job of that one.

Morning Paul
Just to say....they offered Ken a local anaesthetic to remove 8 teeth to avoid an overnight stay. I thought that was too much and requested a general anaesthetic and that’s what they did.
He is also conscious of lumps and the size of them etc. Think it’s going to be a way of life now as we’re much more aware.
Ken’s lost 2.5 stone now but hasn’t resorted to wearing my clothes yet! We’ve not bought anymore yet neither so basically he looks like a sack of potatoes!!
Good luck and looking forward to that reunion! I already have a scheduled date with RadioactiveRaz booked in
