Ah those heady (excuse pun) days. Bomber jackets,Levi sta press, and of course the appropriate footware e.g doc Martin's. But I didn't get to go out like that. Got changed at mates..

  • I brought myself a Harrington Jacket about five years ago as I could not afford one when I was younger, they also go well with DMs.

Caw yeah, the harrington.red tartan on the inside.

Also went with the monkey boots. Now I wear an old Barbour jacket and Welly boots. Style.

  • Was a bit of a hippy myself so the bomber jacket passed me by, had an afghan instead. I did however own a pair of Dr Martens (so comfortable) which I ended up giving to a local on a trip to Africa in 1989; the guy was such a great guide and help over the time I was there but would never take any money but just said, "give me what you think I've been worth when you go home". Gave him the boots and a small (for me) amount of money but he said it paid his families rent for three months. Great memory, can even remember his name, Mustafa K Jamah.

We're veering off the subject here but what the hell Slight smile

    Hi Mike

Maybe a tad but it's helping to take my mind off things at the momemt

8 teeth to get out this week. Talk about anything please. But hey ho onwards and upwards eh? Paul.

  • My mate had an afghan I will ask if he still has it, Dr  Martens were so comfy and have stood the test of time as they are still on the market. A lovely story about your guide.

    They're pretty slick

    You won’t feel a thing

Just take plenty of paracetamol for a day afterwards.
