I think peg granulation is no different to a wart. I have been given the following treatment and I still have it so that means so far nothing has helped. Silver nitrate, maxitrol eye ointment, anusol cream and I think some others. I have also tried cutting it which brings a lot of blood but no help. For some reason they are not prepared to do silver nitrate again. I have read all the wart remedies, like fig leaves and cider vinegar but not bothered trying them. I have been told that since there is a foreign body in the body it tries to get rid of it. I dare say it doesnt usually hurt but it is a nuisance and often bleeds. I am sure that I am not the only one who has it, and my post here is asking if anyone has ever got rid of it and how.
My peg working all night never giving my stomach any rest since I have limited use of my mouth by day also gives me sleepless nights, and tired by day. My doctor doesnt believe I should use sleeping tablets I wonder what others do.
I imagine I have but I dont have any left which I used for other things and my doctor doesnt like prescribing it or anything else I need, like sleeping tablets. I can mention having a peg working all night and being up by day takes its toll and I end up with sleepless nights and tired by day. What I really would like to know is if it healed you and how long it took. I wonder why one uses the term over granulated, I would like none to be there or is that impossible. I am under the hospital and fresensius peg nurse and they should both have experience but nothing seems to help.
Not sure if we are talking about the same thing but I was told to ask the GP to prescribe some tape that I wrapped around the tube to cover the growth?, it was more expensive by a long way than the cream you would usually get and the GP wasn't to happy lol, it was my dietitian or speech therapist that told me to push for it, could of been the Macmillan nurse.
I will see if I can find it and let you know what it was.

I dont think it would work with the peg since one cannot cover the whole surface of the wart or granulation since the peg is in the way.
I think the only real way is to cut it out roots and all. But no doctor is prepared to do it. I remember many years ago when I was young I had one on my hand for a long time and had been to doctors to no avail. Once I decided to cut it out, it bleeded a very lot but I never had it again. In the peg position it is something I myself cant do. It would mean first taking the peg out doing it and putting it back again.
