Good evening, just to introduce myself..
I'm Jay, was diagnosed late 2018 with myopethelial carcinoma in the parotid gland, had major surgery Inc full parotidectomy 12 months later had secondary in neck lymph nodes and underwent neck dissection just before Christmas, very rare cancer with any treatment ruled out
Good evening Madhatter77, i have heard of the parotid gland and neck nodes but not heard of the myoepithelial, it must all be linked to saliva glands.I hope the neck dissection and the removal of the lymph nodes went ok and you are making a steady recovery. Thanks for posting on here, all the best, take care.
Chris .
Hi Madhatter
Welcome but sorry to see you here
It is a rare rumour having its origins in muscle and epithelial cell, whilst most cancers have just the one cell type as their basis.
I hope you are continuing to recover
Take care
Dani
