Hubby started cycle 1 yesterday. Feeling rough this afternoon but meds helped.
Hes developed hiccups today which is tiring and a very sore throat. Is this common? Sorry to keep asking questions but you don’t know what you don’t know until this starts
Thank you
Geraldine
Thank you so much that’s really helpful
Geraldine
Your welcome, from memory his hiccups would be bad for the first few days after the chemo session and then would subside. Difflam you can get from a pharmacy but you need to ask for it.
hi Geraldine
how is your husbands throat this morning ? Did you call the help line ?
tricia
Filled him with paracetamol and then found a mouth and throat wash was included in his pack ….. this helped. I think it had similar ingredients to the difflam spray FairiesWearBoots recommended. He is so much better this morning….. actually managed an omelette for breakfast
The neuropathy has just started to appear so gloves by the fridge and banned from going into the freezer! So grateful for the advice and experiences of people on this forum ….. the place where no one wants to be
Oh that’s good news ! yes my freezer is a total mess but can’t sort it out at the moment I love that mouth wash not being able to eat leaves your mouth feeling horrible and that tastes really nice and freshness it up although i think my taste buds are all to pot anyway
Sending hugs
Tricia
