Hello
I have my last FLOT tomorrow, 4 in all, I have also have 2 rounds of Carbo and Etoposide. I have my CT scan on the 1st Feb as they plan is to operate so I have fingers and toes crossed they I will still be on this pathway.
The Flot has been tough as people say, the Oxy-legs were terrible!! the two week turn around has given me about 3 days of normality. I would like to thank those that offered side effect advice as it really helped me to be proactive with the Meds.
The change for me is from Oct to early December I was not able to eat food, shakes only. I am now eating normally, I have attempted spicy food, like a curry . I find I need to eat more often or I get like an empty discomfort, not sure what that's about? My sternum feels sore sometimes also? fingers crossed these are gastral related to the growth but I guess it must of shrunk as I can eat.
I am so looking forward to some weeks without Chemo but also apprehensive, it will be back to that waiting place, and this is it, which pathway? I wish I had not been told IT was high grade, this bit really sticks in my head!!
What lovely blue skies I have in the south at the moment, beautiful
Morning Alistair sorry to hear about your day I'm sure you could do without the running around right now!! But pleased that it turned out OK for you . I hope today is a better day for you
Andy was very tired yesterday and loosing his sense of taste but otherwise he's doing well hopefully today will be kind to him and to you too.
Have a good day Alistair
Best wishes

Hi Alasdair
You are certainly getting a fair share of complications really hope that's the last one for you.
At least they got it sorted out for you fairly quickly.
Still waiting for my results of the scan done nearly 3 weeks ago. It's my birthday today and was hoping I would hear something. To get the all clear would be the best present ever.
Hope you fair better today my friend
Best wishes

Morning Vonn and Andy
Poor Alasdair is really having some complications isn't he. This journey really is a tough one.
Hope Andy is doing ok today. Loss of taste is quite normal I had that for a while. It's the neuropathy you really need to keep an eye on as it can become permanent. My last round was stopped because of it.
Still waiting for my scan results, might chase them today as we are supposed to be seeing oncologist on Tuesday next week
Best wishes
Dean
Hi CB
How are you getting on I haven’t heard from you recently although as your aware I’ve had my fare share of complications to deal with
I’m currently having 500ml over night about five and a half hours although I keep asking the dietitian if I can reduce this and maybe have the tube removed, but up to now that a big fat NO!
I’ll keep trying and hopefully in the not so distant future I’ll be tube free
Best wishes and take care
Alasdair
Hi Bilious Bob
ive been led to believe that the JEJ feeding tube is normally left in until the establishment are sure you can maintain your weight orally or until you finish post operative chemotherapy
Alasdair
Happy Birthday Dean. Thank you for all your advice and help on this forum. Hope you get good news next week. Have a lovely day,
Amanda
