It seems a bit quiet here.
I only ask because I find the evenings, after the support lines have closed, to be the hardest. I've been on watch and wait for coming up on four years. It's an 'OK' story. It just doesn't always feel like that.
Hello RMS Titanic (love the user name and you are correct too it was a Royal Mail Ship).
I am Brian one of the Community Champions here on the community. I just noticed your post and although it may be a quiet night on this group on the Cancer Chat Group there is a general chat thread for anyone with cancer. Here's the link
It's quite an active group.
I wish you well with your ongoing "watch and wait".
Best wishes - Brian.

Thanks Brian.
There is a saying here in Belfast about Titanic - "She was fine when she left here". I was born in the Jubilee Maternity Hospital, just 9 miles away from where I am now. Apparently I was fine when I left there too!!
Ah but
Was she "swapped" in the graving dock after her "accident" when on her trials for her sister ship RMS Oceanic?? (I should stop reading conspiracy theory books).
What a cracking saying - sadly for us it's all downhill from Day 1.
Take care and I wish you well moving forward.
Best wishes - Brian.

I could keep this going, but instead I just want to thank you for lifting my mood this evening. 'You'll never know...'
Apologies for this late reply, but I did not look at my computer last evening.
However..
It is easy to be worried about one's diagnosis, and perhaps especially over the Christmas period when we are all expected to be happy and at parties..
But here's a thought for you..
Do try and accept this Watch and Wait period after a diagnosis, as it can be some time. I was 18 years in the watch and wait period..
Now I take a simple pill twice a day, and this last December 9th it was exactly TWENTY YEARS since I was diagnosed with my CLL.
CLL is NOT fun, but thanks to research, we can now live a normal life, so there really is much hope for all of us.
Best wishes
Dick
I can't help myself, I've got to add a line linked to why I chose this user name. Were the rivets used on Titanic imperfect, just like my B Lymphocytes??
I am as bad as you:
Yes, you keep the fires burning in your bunkers - but at least they will keep you alive and you wont sink.
Kind Regards - Brian.

I shall rename you 'RMS Carpathia'. Thank you for your engagement with my frivolity.
If I can "rescue" you after your "sinking" then as a volunteer I have done what my volunteer roll says I should do.
Kind Regards - Brian.
