Good news at consultation

Having been diagnosed with CLL two years ago, I have been having three monthly blood tests and consultations with my haematologist .... until now!

My blood tests and general condition has been stable so far, so my next check up is now extended to six months away.

I consider myself lucky, although I am sure I'm not the only one to have their regular checks extended to a longer period. I realise the future could hold complications, but for now I am pleased with this result.

For anybody recently diagnosed with CLL, and starting this journey, please bear in mind that the initial shock can evolve into renewed optimism, and hope for the future.

Take care  everyone.

  • Great News....

Sounds similar to my CLL journey..

I had similar check ups which extended out to six months like yours.

Finally after eighteen years I started treatment with acalabutrinib which has been very easy to take for the last three years.

We are so lucky that there are all these new drugs now available, should we eventually need them.

The latest research does show that a good diet and importantly exercise does make a BIG difference.

    Good news and stay well.
