Hi all,

I just wanted to share that, I am currently 8mths post immunotherapy treatment and have been informed that at present I am in remission. I know this is not a cure and it has taken me a couple of weeks to absorb the news. Hopefully I can relax a bit now.
I have had three types of cancer over several years but my CLL diagnosis has been with me for many years. My first treatment of it involved several blood and platelet transfusions plus chemotherapy. I managed it all fairly well. It was not as scary as I imagined.

4yrs later it was back but the treatment has been different. 15months of immunotherapy.

i managed that fairly well also. Close friends and family have been a huge support. Treatment appears to be advancing all the time and this is very encouraging for all cancer sufferers. On reflection so far I would say to anyone, flow with it all but believe in yourself. Take everything as it comes one day at a time, just breathe and be in it. Do at least one positive thing for yourself alone every day.

Give yourself the care and compassion you would offer someone else in your position.

regards
