I Am 52 years old and was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in my spine in September 2011 after primary breast cancer diagnosis in November 2010. Since 2011 I have been having 3 weekly Herceptin and also Denosumab Injections every 4/6 weeks. I have been fortunate that these drugs have kept the cancer under control for nearly 9 years - but now it is spreading in my sacrum/pelvic bones so my oncologist has recommended moving to Kadcyla and really I’m looking for anything anyone can tell me about life on Kadcyla. I had practically no troublesome side effects from Herceptin - and as Kadcyla is part Herceptin I am naively keeping my fingers crossed that that continues?
I am moderately terrified about a change after all this time - are there people out there who have been on Kadcyla and had reasonable quality of life for years?
I’ve never posted on a forum before, so I’m looking forward to hearing other people’s experiences.

I don't have any experience to share with you of Kadcyla but if you type 'kadcyla' in to the search bar in this group you'll find plenty of previous posts which mention it. You could have a look through them and respond to any of the more recent ones if you wanted to ask any questions of the poster.
It's natural to be nervous about changing to a different treatment but hopefully those who have had it in this group will be able to answer your questions.
When you feel up to it, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis.
