Single mastectomy for DCIS

I had high grade dcis in my right breast and had a double mastectomy in September 2022. That decision was made in light of my age (37 at the time). I had expander implants placed and these were swapped to permanent implants in February of this year. I’m having 3d nipple tattooing in September of this year. I didn’t need any chemo, radio or hormone treatment thank goodness as the dcis was completely excised and there was no lymph node involvement.

I used arnica cream, and as  I said bio oil  for the wound and eats lots of pineapple which also helps with the bruising.  you will feel much better in a few days once the anesthetic wears off. xx love and support B
