Hello
I've just been diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer grade 3 triple negative I'm so scared is anyone going through the same?
That’s rubbish about your holiday . I was once told they only have to pay what is statutory which I think is 28 day and that includes the 10 days bank holidays . You would think they would have more compassion. With the news I have just had I am considering finding out about taking my pension early xx
Hi Jayne you’re not moaning in the slightest and I’m ok, a few aches and pains and I seem to be getting a lot of headaches but other than that I’m ok. I spent 2 1/2 hrs in Velindre waiting for an appointment today, saw a lovely nurse called Gail, to be honest I feel so much better about my treatment after talking to her, she explained all about the zoldronic acid again because they’d lost my consent form that I signed in December and we discussed my radiotherapy too and she was so helpful.
I went to the chemo day unit last week to have my zoladex injection and was very anxious about being in there, so I can’t even imagine what you’ll feel like but I hope everything goes well, let me know how you get on.

Hi, ask for a copy of terms and conditions to check. My employers paid me 2 weeks annual leave as couldn't carry them over. I have never heard of taking your annual leave ofr you whilst you on the sick, they owe you 5 weeks pay I would think x
Hi Everyone , just spoke to HR they say it's right . I agree with you Mel it's 5 weeks . But they not budging . It's just another bump in the road. So I'm going to have a couple of months on half pay then take the 3 days holiday they have left me with and after that get a staged return to work for 6 weeks. H I did apply for redundancy A few years back I was the only teacher in the college to be refused as they said to many people have applied. It's not worth me asking for that again. So will just have to put up with it I think .

Hope everyone is as well as can be expected.
I hope it´s OK me posting in here as you all seem to know each other so well so I don´t want to intrude (if that makes any sense!) but I´m feeling low. I made a separate post yesterday in the Chat section and have received some lovely replies but as here is more chatty, I thought some of you may relate and get where I´m coming from - which is a big crying mess at the moment
A few things are needling away at me and causing me to feel quite weepy;
-My usually sweet natured 7 yr old son is pushing back big time on boundaries.
-I just found out today that the job I thought I´d be in for 3-4 yrs is now coming to an end in May.
-The only blood relative (my brother) I have left I can´t rely on for support due to his abusive behaviour.
-Friends who were previously there with offers of help etc when my cancer diagnosis was new have now dropped off the radar.
Sorry for the gloomy intrusion and thanks for reading.
Hi Rhiwabina
Some pension schemes treat ill-health retirement differently from normal early retirement. If you have a Trade Union it might be worth asking them if this applies or your situation. Always remember HR are there to serve the organisation's and management's interests, not yours. I would run the A/L issue by them as well, as if you are due 5weeks they could sort that out for you too.
Life is hard enough without folk doing you out of work related benefits which you have a accrued through you own hard effort.
All the best
