Well doneUnity 57,same thing happened to me yesterday re.machine braking and a 2 hr wait, can,t be helped I suppose those machine get hammered.I use E 45 about apply am,then after treatment pm when I get home, then moreearly evening and again before bed, surely that’s got to help with any dry skin to come, well am hoping.x
Glad it went well apart from the delay.
The machines are highly sensitive bits of kit that have very many safety features built in and sometimes they stop if they aren’t happy!
Breakdowns are the bane of a radiographer’s life.So stressful for everyone!
Let’s hope today goes better for you
Are you taking any of the anti oestrogen meds? I’m on letrazole and have found I sleep much better if I take it at night.
Onwards and upwards
Yay. All done. 15/15 completed. Arrived to a 45 minute delay, but then someone wasn't ready so rushed in. Suddenly, all done and dusted. Rang the bell with attitude! Thank you everyone for your support throughout this process. So much appreciated.
Exraygirl you've been a star for so many of us on here. I hope you are being looked after too! Sending a special hug to you. ( )
Keep going everyone... Before you know it you'll be at the end too.
Yes Exraygirl,
You are such a great human being and have been so kind to me also.
You are so humble. Thank you for your kindness to a stranger along a challenging path, you have made it less stressful as forewarned is forearmed.
8 treatments completed with 7 to go, sent to nurse today and skin reaction to radiotherapy, petroleum gel given today to apply 3 times daily.
My large haematoma remains unchanged and thankfully although radiotherapy was held up by a month.....I'm over half way Cooked...lol
Your advice and support has been Brilliant, being fully informed about radiotherapy treatment preparation, treatment info and after care has been so helpful.
Kind regards,
Katrina.
