Here's a new thread for chemo discussions this June, as the existing threads were getting a little long.
Please do let us know if you have any other threads you think would be useful to link here.
Hi Nuala
That great news that you have only one more session of chemo to go.
Wishing the best of luck with it.
Best wishes

Glad you're getting there after chemoIblodwin. Good luck for your mastectomy next week, let us know how you get on. I'm back from my week in Newquay, tiring but a good week .
Had an appt for my PET scan yesterday. Turned up for them to tell me it was too soon after chemo so is now next week. Why make the appt. In the first Place?!
Hope everyone is OK and those on treatment have minimal se.
Take care x
Thanks Fifitrix.
That's so annoying about the PET scan. You gear yourself up for these things. I was told there had to be a minimum of two weeks after chemo before they would do a PET scan. They booked mine for two weeks and one day. Think they are very strict about it. (Don't know why) hopefully you will get good results when it happens. Fingers crossed.
Good luck for the surgery Iblodwin, hope it all goes smoothly for you as I’m sure it will.
You’re doing great Nuala, nearly there and everything to look forward to

Hi Diamondgirl ans ?
Hows your neuropathy and finger nails doing? One of my fingernails snapped off halfway down at the end of the white bit and I was so upset, even more than when my hair came out which is bizarre, its so tender on the end which has no nail on it now. I thought I’d escaped them falling off but didn’t think they would just snap off…they don’t even look as if they’re in really bad condition, just white where the edges have detached I think. Hoping no more do that, I was so careful using Polybalm as well
To everyone still on chemo please be careful with your nails, it can take 3-6 months before you see the damage post chemo apparently.
Hope all having SE are managing them ok?

I’m hoping my nails don’t get effected by the chemo. Eyebrows and eyelashes still ok and I have new growth on my head! Still hot 12 weeks to go on the new drugs starting tomorrow so that’ll probably change.
Ive been very down to recently. Missing my friends and partner. This isolation sucks worse than lockdown! All the anticipation of the next lot of chemo and what happens after is proving too much for my foggy brain to cope with to. How do you all cope?
So pleased with some of your news everyone. Good luck with further treatment and scans.
Kirstie xx
Don't know if you can see on photo. My nails have gone a bit peculiar. Yellow/brown discolouration slightly raised and mishapen. Lines. But overall... Hanging on in there to be fair. I'm keeping them low, ready for another file. Want to avoid them snapping low down.
Kas... Why are you isolating? I was told that when self isolating each time before treatment that didn't include those people I lived with... Unless you are particularly vulnerable to infections? I can't imagine isolating from my partner through all this. Glad you have retained eyelashes and eyebrows though... Makes such a difference to how you look. I'm using eye drops daily otherwise it looks like I'm crying all the time! I have to reassure people I'm ok!LOL. Will be glad when they grow back.
