Here's a new thread for chemo discussions this June, as the existing threads were getting a little long.
Please do let us know if you have any other threads you think would be useful to link here.

I'm just starting first doxetal treatment today consultants said doesn't cause sickness but flu like symptoms. Just wondering how it affecting you. My previous other 3 different chemo treatment left me sick for at least a week
Hi Anne.
I’m day six as well, stomach cramps, diarrhoea and shooting pains seem to be the way it’s going although I feel better today than I did yesterday. I slept a lot yesterday as well. I hope you get through the next few days ok and can work your way towards recovery
Nljw, I had horrible nausea on EC but so far I’m not feeling it on the Docetaxel. My glands have swollen up and my throat / ears are a bit sore but manageable with paracetamol. I hope you get through it ok.

Hi Ruby Good to hear you feel better today did you get extra steroids? And do you have the injections? Good luck with your first docetaxel nijw hope your SE are not too bad as everybody is different I haven’t had any nausea with it but I did find EC more manageable than Docetaxel. Take care and listen to your body.

Hi Anne,
They tapered off my steroids a bit, but they were finished on Sunday. I do have the injections for another few days, so I know I’ll be sore on the last days. Do you still have them- if I’m remembering right this is your last round?
Ruby xx
Hi Ruby
yeh this is my last round can’t wait till next week when start to feel better. Last of the steroids today so expect to crash tomorrow and Friday injections finish on Saturday night. Do you have 1 more to do?
We’re getting there

Two more to go. It’s horrible but I think I’ll be marching to the unit to get the last two done, I just want it finished! At least the end is in sight.
I hope the rest of this week is manageable for you - each day is hopefully the last you have to feel the way you do.
Take care,
Ruby xx
