Breast cancer surgery

Hi

Diagnosed early January after Biopsy in December. Surgery was due tomorrow for mastectomy but now postponed until later date re Covid reason. My cancer is high grade DCIS and informed it may be 4/6 weeks. Now left quite anxious and obviously very disappointed. How long should I let go on or do I consider private?  I am also high risk Braca 1.

    Sorry to hear things have been postponed...

    I had to wait till mid Dec 2020 for surgery after diagnosis 1st Oct  (private). Though I was concerned about it, the surgeon was not but put me onto Anastrozole in the meantime 'to keep things in check', more to keep me happy than anything I think!  Anyway all was well and the tumour turned out to be the same size as they had seen on the scans. Hope that helps a little x
