Hi all
Newly diagnosed with tpe 1/2 and grade 2 in right breast with high eostrogen, no pr and awairing Her2. Agreed to lumpectomy and sentinal lymph node biopsy/ removal of 2/3 lymph node
At pre op, Bloop pressure too high, have history but was off meds so asked to speak JP there and then for strategy as op may be cancelled.
Gp didnt want to give meds as he said high stress and higher risk to cancel op. Later on day informed surgeon think too high risk with BP and wont book new date until GP puts me on meds.
Funny side battle axe of receptionist would let me speak to GP to discuss what was said. I chase surgery when chased by hospital and was told decision be made next day. REALLY helpful with stress level! Next day on meds
BP being monitored and when reduced may have op on 4th March
Any tips on stress management during lock down, am going for walks, reduced alcohol and coffee. Spoke to work but alot of things to sort out to hand over to other people while convalescing.
I do still ferl poitive, feel safe with excellent breast care team, its everyone else around me!!
I had same diagnosis a year ago. Grade 1&2 with lumpectomy. Had no real problems except side effects with Letrozole so changed to Exemestane which was worse! Now back on Letrozole as a lot of the problems were caused by onset of lymphoedema.
Follow advice from breast care team as they are very knowledgeable but I wish they had told me more about everything at the start .Did not know what to expect and felt isolated. Has taken me a year (with help) to come to terms with it all.
Just keep positive and use the resources around you, I wish I had earlier.
Keep your chin up!
Thx for your idea, I will say breast care teamm give me confidence, but will start asking questionx xx
The more you know what to expect, the better you feel because you can deal with it little by little instead of all at once. Don't worry, it will work itself out. Felt good today as my friend given 5 year all clear! Light at the end of the tunnel! xx
