  • Hi Marie1974 welcome to the forum and I am so sorry to hear what is happening for you right now but at least one part of this god awful journey is past with your surgery completed for now.

When do you get your results back and how are you feeling in general after the surgery? The period of waiting is often the hardest part it seems to take forever or at least it can feel like that but hey hopefully you are on the road to recovery and whilst you may have a bit to go or not as the case may be we are here for you whenever you feel the need to chat.

Sending some huge big hugs your way for now. xxx

  • Hi there

i was diagnosed last June with invasive mucinous carcinoma (stage 2, grade 3) ER/PR+, HER2-, but no node involvement ( otherwise pretty similar to you -I’m 49 and pre menopausal)

I has a lumpectomy too followed by a cavity shave as the margins weren’t quite good enough. My Oncotype score was 21 which is in the “chemo may possibly benefit “ range for those under 50. However my oncologist said research indicated that the benefit was really from being put  in menopause rather than than the chemo itself, so I’m on monthly implants to make me menopausal

I hope your results come back nice and low and the rest of your treatment is bearable
