  • Hi  welcome ,I know you'd rather not be a member of this club but it's a good place to be when you've been dropped on the roller coaster .

Click on my name and you will see my story in my profile . I had EC x 6 I was lucky hair stayed a while I didn't start to shed til between 3/4 cycle

I had it cut to pixie at beginning then hairdresser kept it tidy with very short cut once it started to shed . Wearing a sleep beanie hat is a good idea far better than waking up to hair all over  Pillow ! I just didn't want the stubble so we left the shave til just before no 6 last Dec . Again it was a no 2 shave so hair had a shape to grow into . Bit like GI Jane Joy

Good news is went into shielding beginning of March with a fuzz on head then by July when I could get out needed a hair cut ....back very short .

Now has been cut every 4 weeks since and I sport a thick pixie look .  So that's my hair story but I do stress my story as we all different and your hair may grow differently one thing that dies seem to be a common theme is chemo curls when hair regrows.

In the meantime it's winter so lots of hats .Bamboo beanies are good for keeping scalp warm I bought plain ones then used knitted headbands to brighten up . Also I was provided with NHS voucher / allowance for wig .

Have a look under the heading diagnosis / treatment and you will find a Nov, chemo thread with lots of info and support from people at the sane stage as yourself . There is also a hint link on first page for comfort during chemo .

Have a browse through threads lots of interesting ones to check out . The  AWAKE thread has lots of chat and humour buts also it's were a lot of regulars gang out ready to give support and advice .

You will be welcomed by all on any thread you join
