Hi, I got diagnosed with ER poistive breast cancer about 2 weeks ago. I'm 30 years old and I did not think this would happen at someone my age and didn't think it would happen to me! My life came crashing down when I was told I had bresst cancer. For me this means chemotherapy for next 18 weeks every 3 weeks,my last day was in work yesterday as I am in the middle of freezing my eggs ,on day 8 I have to isolate till I have my egg retrieval!
Hi , I’m twice your age but wanted to welcome you to this club you’d much rather avoid! You will find lots of support and friendship here and there will be others your age going through similar experiences. Sorry you’re having to face all this treatment, including the egg retrieval, but it all sounds very organised. And the positive thing about ER positive breast cancer is that there’s lots of stuff to throw at it - it’s very ‘treatable’. You are definitely far too young for this b***** of a disease but you’ve found it and they can now help you to get rid of the beast.
Sending love and a big virtual hug, HFxx
I am definitely still in shock! I think my husband took it worse than me and I was a mess!!! Its a horrible disease and I'm still so young,I have a 4 year old boy who has no idea ,I'm going to get Xmas out of the way and then tell him after. I want his life to stay as normal as possible xxx
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
