  1. Quick back story, Was diagnosed in sept 21  (after being misdiagnosed since April 21) mastectomy and SNB (1/3 positive) Nov 21 26mm invasive with a total of 92mm (non ivasive and invasive) was due to start chemo in the Jan 22 but my youngest DD got covid and then so did I, so chemo was deferred until Feb 22. Started chemotherapy last week, having 5FEC-T and then on the 4th cycle I will start Herceptin.
  2. Just really wanted some positive vibes tbh as although yes I know my cancer has a positive outcome at the end of all the treatments (consultant said 98% survival rate for the next 10 years), it is a very scary place to be especially when I have children at home and my partner lives elsewhere, it's harder that I am not allowed to bring anybody with me while I have the chemotherapy due to covid restrictions etc. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing ok. Thank you for reading x

  • Morning Dee and girls

Thank you so much for remembering our chemo today.

Just had a meeting with my Oncologist, blood are good and he is very happy with my progress.

He's going to start me on meds for Thrush today so I won't get that again. To take paracetomal from today as can get joint pain with the docetaxol so can control that too.

I am so glad you are feeling good Dee and got a run. Feels good.

I had a wedding last October in Yorkshire in Saltburn by the Sea and we visited Whitby. Enjoy your break.

Hope Thumper your chemo goes well today, mines at 1 so heading up soon.

Hope everyone else are keeping well.

    Sending lots of love xxxHeartHeart

Good luck to both of you having chemo today! Hope it goes well and yes it’s another one down…

Dee - am very jealous of your run, I can’t wait to get back to that! I

Have a good day everyone xx

  • Thank you DeeDee for remembering our chemo day.

I've just back  home..at last? Appointment was for 10.30

Feeling a bit nauseous, but not too much ATM and very sleepy. But other than that I feel okay. Just stopped off in the way back for a shirt walk by a lake. Lovely to see water and hear the birds Blush

Yorkshire! How lovely. My hubby and I love Yorkshire. Robin hood's bay is around there  if you get a chance it's worth a visit...lovely views.

Hope you have a good break...and hubby enjoys his birthday. Xx

  • Hi Seaside

I hope your session has or goes well. How are you feeling? It's good that you've got meds for that thrush and the oncologist is pleased with your progress.

Not long got back. Appointment was at 10.30....was seen late, then things got delayed, and by the time I was supposed to have my cold cap turned off I was forgotten and they were sorting everyone else out...they were really running late by this stage.

Anyway managed a short walk which felt good. Now I'm looking forward to pancakes for dinner cooked by daughter Grin

Lots of hugs to everyone Huggingzzz

  • Evening lovely ladies. Been a bit quiet, thanks to Docatexal. Spent a couple of days off & on in bed. Only way to get comfortable. I discovered today I could taste cheese.  And it didn't taste of metal . Yay !!!

    Hope you're all doing ok..

    Big hugs

Hey ladies, I'm glad to hear you're all doing well, sorry I've been a lil quiet, I'm just feeling physically, mentally and emotionally drained since the split with my partner amd the constant arguing that he wants, I didn't  rise to it and kept my cool but there's only so much one person can take before it gets too much and I could honestly just sit here and bawl my eyes out, but I can't do that  I've got to be strong for the kids. Tomorrow is a new day, decent sleep and a good hot bath is in order, de stress and unwind with a good film.
