  1. Quick back story, Was diagnosed in sept 21  (after being misdiagnosed since April 21) mastectomy and SNB (1/3 positive) Nov 21 26mm invasive with a total of 92mm (non ivasive and invasive) was due to start chemo in the Jan 22 but my youngest DD got covid and then so did I, so chemo was deferred until Feb 22. Started chemotherapy last week, having 5FEC-T and then on the 4th cycle I will start Herceptin.
  2. Just really wanted some positive vibes tbh as although yes I know my cancer has a positive outcome at the end of all the treatments (consultant said 98% survival rate for the next 10 years), it is a very scary place to be especially when I have children at home and my partner lives elsewhere, it's harder that I am not allowed to bring anybody with me while I have the chemotherapy due to covid restrictions etc. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing ok. Thank you for reading x

  • Hi Thumper and rest of girl

Glad your chemo went well and hopefully you get a sleep.

I just got back in at 7.30 and had been at hospital for bloods before 9 so long day. I had a mild reaction to chemo so everything had to be stopped and all pre chemo meds started again and thankfully it was slower this time and all went well.

I think Tizzy you had the same reaction.

Seemingly I should have been given steroids to start taking the day before chemo for 3 days and wasn't given them so had to be given a high dosage of steroids then again when chemo was stopped so full of steroids today.

Got my 1st Phergo (herceptin ) injections today and that was okay.

Feeling okay thankfully so one more ticked off.

Hope you have all been well.

    Take care xxxHeart

  • Oh Tizzy so sorry you are having a hard time, yiu are going through enough.

Stay strong you have come this far and you are amazing to be going through this and still looking after your kids.

    Hope you relax tonight.

You will see from my post I like you had a reaction to Doxy but dealt with quickly and although a long day got through it.

    Sending hugs to you xxxHeartHeart

    Hi Seaside,

oh that’s a long day, glad you’re home now. Glad the injection went ok too, I don’t have a problem with it either other than it sometimes stinging at the end…. Which is good I suppose as there’s talk of me having them for 6 months after my op etc. Have got my oncology catch up on Friday so I shall ask what the next steps might be, although I don’t think they know until I’ve had the op in July….

Tizz - sorry to hear you’re having a rubbish time, hope you’re feeling ok now x
