  1. Quick back story, Was diagnosed in sept 21  (after being misdiagnosed since April 21) mastectomy and SNB (1/3 positive) Nov 21 26mm invasive with a total of 92mm (non ivasive and invasive) was due to start chemo in the Jan 22 but my youngest DD got covid and then so did I, so chemo was deferred until Feb 22. Started chemotherapy last week, having 5FEC-T and then on the 4th cycle I will start Herceptin.
  2. Just really wanted some positive vibes tbh as although yes I know my cancer has a positive outcome at the end of all the treatments (consultant said 98% survival rate for the next 10 years), it is a very scary place to be especially when I have children at home and my partner lives elsewhere, it's harder that I am not allowed to bring anybody with me while I have the chemotherapy due to covid restrictions etc. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing ok. Thank you for reading x
  • Sounds like you had a great day too and great you could taste food.

My mouth is so much better but roof of mouth still a bit funny but I can taste and eat too.

    Have a great night xxxHeartRainbow

  • In my case yes I had 3 EC first bit know some of the girls had FEC. I had all the usual side effects but got through them and half way there now. After Tuesday I will be 3/4 of the way there. Dread each one the same as everyone but know it usually lasts about 10 days apart from last time when I got the dreaded mouth thrush which in itself took 10 days to clear, so that lasted a bit longer.

Before we all know it we will be all finished the chemo and getting through the rest of our treatment

    Just hang in there xxxHeartRainbow

  • I was initially going to have the same as Sunshine..3 EC then 3  of the other. Bit for me things have changed. I'm about to have my fourth EC on Tuesday instead of the same  proposed combination as sunshine. Then they are going to re+access. Might have to have a MRI first too Slight frown

..and I'm going to have Phesgo... whatever that is.

Whatever you get, remember that the BCNs are there for you and are very willing to answer any questions. Also if you are having trouble coping with any side effects it's always good to talk to them and they can advise you how best to cope.

Remember there are good days too.

    Take care Hugging xx

  • Hi Seaside

Glad you had a good day, and another lovely walk along the prom. Nice to have an evening dinner booked too....best way to recharge your batteries Relaxed️

Has a nice day today too. My son came over to join us for Sunday dinner, which was a lovely distraction. Then later, I spent time in the garden, first a bit of pruning then a bit if tapestry. It was lovely listening to the birds while I was stitching...very relaxing.

Safe journey back. Hopefully, come Tuesday, we will both feel rejuvenated and recharged enough for the next session.

Hope yours goes well Hugging xxz

  • Hi Thumper

Sounds like you had a perfect day too. Just nice and peaceful and that's what we need.

Hoping things go okay for you on Tuesday too.

    We are getting there Thumper.

    Take care xxxHeartRainbow

  • Morning Dee and rest of the girls.

I havnt sussed out how to post one to everyone.Rolling eyes

    How's everyone feeling today.?

My mouth is still a tad sore but not as bad and much better than it was, can eat and taste so that's positive.

We are heading home today after lunch, just takes less than 3 hours from here so will be home before tea time.

Get everything unpacked and get myself ready for my Chemo tomorrow.

Trying not to think about it but we all know the nearer it comes the more anxious we get especially as starting the docetaxol.

I just keep thinking it's one more nearer the finish and that keeps me going.

It's pouring down here now but thankfully we had a 4 days with good weather and we had a great time. I feel the better for it

Hope you all have a great day today .

    Sending hugs xxxHeartRainbow

Am working today, I work from home and it’s cloudy and chilly today so I’m working in bed!! Trying to enjoy this week and not thinking about the treatment next week otherwise I end up wasting the week away!

Have a great day everyone xx
