Hi to anyone who is awake and here right now!
I had surgery for breast cancer on 2nd December (my birthday) and so far so good, I had 2 lumpectomies and skin taken from under my arm to fill in the gaps. I am wide awake tonight as my arm feels like it weighs about 10 stone and my head is as shed! Is there anyone else up at this silly time of night please?
Hi, I'm up and wide awake. Just signed on, sorry you're feeling way you are. Don't want to give any advice that's not accurate but I'd get in touch with hosp/professionals for some proper help today may be absolutely nothing but to hear a professional say so will put your mind at rest and don't know about you but my mind is my own worst enemy.
I had mastectomy, nodes removed and reconstruction way back in 2007. Hope you are looking after yourself in these trying times. x
Thank you, I will do that. I had nodes removed, sentinal and 4 more and I am starting to get some feeling back in my arm, I will check this out x
Good, you'll feel easier about it. It's a scary time for you but a good attitude and support system is great to have and this seems as good a start as any. Knowing we can reach out at any time and hopefully find someone to if not answer our questions at least be there to listen is a bonus.
Hope you get in touch with someone who can ease your mind, take care. x
