Hi guys
It was recommended that I buy Evonail to protect my nails I have spent the last few hours online trying to get hold of some but it looks like its been discontinued... any ideas would be greatly appreciated x
Hi,
Sorry I had no idea the company that makes Evonail has gone into liquidation. It's 5 years since the beautician at my chemo clinic recommended it. It was an excellent product but I have some left so I just read the label and it says...' for weakened, dry and brittle nails.' So I looked for other products that might do something similar. I found Sally Hensen has a Miracle nail and www.duri.com has a rejuvacote. Both these products appear to be very similar. Perhaps if you look at them online and make a note of the ingredients, your local chemist will stock something similar.?
My chemist actually got my original Evo nail. It wasn't cheap either but because it was a type of oily varnish, it went a long way. I'll never know if it was a coicidence I had no nail problems but I used on my feet too and I never lost a nail. I was told to use it from Day 1 of chemo until some weeks past the end . I have recommended it on this site before and others whose nails were throbbing or going black say it corrected the problem.
I hope I haven't caused you a lot of bother. If you find a good product perhaps you can let us know so we can recommend it in future. I was very fortunate that on my first chemo day, the beautician came to see me with lots of tips for my mouth, nails, skin and scalp.
Cyber hugs. Hope all continues as positively for you as it is at present. There have been so many helpful improvements just in five years.

I too found Evonail not available and got this instead . You order it from their website - let me know if you can’t find it . Used it from the start on finger nails and toenails . Just finished 3xEC and 12 Paclitaxel . Took photo today and you can see how good my thumbnail looks! No problems with any nails hands or feet . Costs around £19 but worked for me .
Beat wishes
Thank you both for your heloful replies I will do as you suggest and compare ingredients and im sure i will find something similar.
Its a mystery to me why the company has gone into liquidation as there is obviously a huge demand for this product.
Jools-50 i'm definately going look at Sally Hanson as it sounds like it will do the trick. When I've done some research i'll let you know the outcome. Thank you both again x
