Hi I had my second vacuum biopsy last week due to inconclusive results from the first one. When the radiologist finished the biopsy she said hopefully she could call me with the results prior to my scheduled appointment today with the consultant as they are aware I’m 2 hours drive from the hospital. I’ve not received a call so will be attending this afternoon. Can’t help feeling anxious as have been expecting a call from her all week. I know the MDT meet on Thursday morning so maybe this is why she didn’t call but I wish she had never mentioned phoning me as it has actually made the last week worse as every time the phone rings I’m hoping it’s the hospital. Anyway I will just be glad for today to be done but still feeling optimistic for positive news

Hi , sorry you’re in ‘waiting limbo’, I don’t think anyone appreciates how tortuous it is unless they’ve gone through it. There are probably lots of possible reasons why the radiologist hasn’t phoned but, again, they will have no idea how awful it is to expect a call but not get it. I’d rather have a call to say ‘no news’ than no call.
Hope you can somehow keep yourself busy until you have to set off for the hospital - 2 hours is a long journey, sorry you’ve got that on top of all the worry.
Sending a big virtual hug to you, let us know how you get on. HFxx
Thanks just on the way to the hospital now so fingers crossed. I live in rural Northern Ireland hence to long journey,l
