  • Hi Kimbo and welcome to the forum.

Personally I didnt have chemo but I know lots of folks who did and had the same issues as yourself.  I know that you will have to avoid anything that is remotely to do with anything with chemicals in it as this will affect you because of the treatment. Im sure some of the other folks on here will be able to help but I think they will mostly tell you to let things take there natural course without any chemical intervention.

Hope that makes some semblance of sense. Best Wishes for now. xxx

  • Hi I lost my hair and hated it!!! Didn't think I would however, I looked and used every product out there to regain my hair loss asap but I honestly dont think anything in particular worked. I am now 2 years since treatment and still have short hair whereas before It was a bob. Have had it cut a couple of times (having too, not out of choice!!) but it is very slow growing. I dont know how old you are but I know my age is against me anyway and am on Letrozole which is known for hair loss!!! Cant win really. Good luck, probably not what you want to hear, sorry

  • Hi, I naturally have quite thick hair which may help and didn't use anything special ( I've always used natural/organic products anyway).  Worth noting that hair growth was quite slow to begin with post chemo and for me only really got motoring from 3 months post chemo.  Am now 7 months post chemo & hair is still thick, letrozole has not impacted my 'new' hair at all and it grows at the same rate as pre chemo.  I lost about 40% of hair during chemo I reckon.

Not really loving the Mrs Slocombe/bouffant style that chemo curls have bought when it grows however....ha!

Be patient and bear in mind we all react differently to these bonkers drugs.
