Hi Everyone,
Newly diagnosed, about to start Chemo, need wig advice!!
Any good places to look? Any general advice, thoughts!?
Thank you!!
Hi Pipsqueak80
Sorry to hear that you've just been diagnosed, but a warm welcome here nonetheless!
I can't help you with your question as I didn't need chemo. but I am bumping your post back to the first page to see if anyone else can assist.
You might also want to see if anyone in the June chemo thread have any ideas for you.
Kindest wishes and all the very best for your forthcoming treatment.
Hi Pipsqueak80, welcome to the site, everyone has been very supportive of me here since my diagnosis.
If you look back there is a thread called pre chemo anxiety started by gracie75 recently, there was lots of discussion about hair loss and wigs on there. The june chemo club thread is also useful and will be at the top of the page each month.
I was given a voucher towards a wig from my hospital. They used belle madame ones mine was £350. I got a few cheap ones from amazon but not worth it as they tangled really easily. My favourite was from a site called headscarves by ciara. They are designed to wear at the gym so need to wear with headband they supply or you can see the elastic. It's worth getting some headscarves/beanies as well because wigs can get very hot/uncomfortable .
Good luck with chemo and theres always someone here for advice if you need it xxxx
