I've just been diagnosed a week ago with IBC after a biopsy. A CT scan showing it has not spread so I am relieved about that.
Still to get my plan but appointment booked with oncologist for next week
I have a lot of pain in my breast and under my arm and have trouble trying to sleep as so uncomfortable when I lie down and wondered if anyone has any tips they can share?
Thank you.
Hi Katy
Sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with IBC. I was diagnosed with DCIS but a 30mm tumour was found after my mastcetomy and I now have to have chemotherapy. Like you my ct scan and bone scan was clear. It seems we may both be starting chemo shortly. There is a very helpful and informative link may chemo , have a look at this. Have you been prescribed pain killers from your gp? I would see if you could get something until you see your oncologist.
Good luck with your appointment with your Oncologist.
Take care
