    Hi

There has been a few messages mentioning Mistletoe in the past - but unsure if they are referring to herbal tablets or injections. If you type it into the groups search bar it should bring those up to browse through.

There is no evidence mistletoe will have any effect on human cancer cells but some have taken it to ease some chemo side effects or post treatment, but this is something you will definitely have to discuss with your oncologist if you are thinking of having mistletoe injections in case there is a contraindication with any other meds you will be needing like chemotherapy or hormonal tablet therapy if ER/PR + positive.

There is an info page about Mistletoe here at Sloan Kettering cancer herbals directory.

Pasted this taken from a Breast Cancer Now leaflet  "

Mistletoe (Iscador)   -  Some people believe that mistletoe extract (Iscador) helps the immune system work better, improves quality of life and reduces the side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. However, there’s no reliable evidence to support this theory."

Have you been given any info regarding what your treatment plan is going to be as most have been tweaked because of the Covid19 nightmare ?

Hope this is of some help, take care, G n' J

Yes thank you- it seems from the directory you referred me to that there are quite a lot of dangers in using miseltoe.

I don't have a treatment plan yet as waiting for MRI, but I was told they have stopped giving any chemo before an operation because of the virus and stopped doing any reconstruction at the time of a mastectomy similarly.
