Wednesday they told me I was not curable but would give me extending life expectancy treatment , as you can imagine not much else sunk in after that statement , I have sat an looked through all the paper work I was given and I have noticed that where it says number of cycles it has been left blank , does this mean I will get the standard 6 or that I may need more or they just don’t know ??

I have a friend in the same situation as you. It means that instead of having a fixed number if cycles,  yours will be managed for as long as is possible. My friend has been having oral chemo for 30 months and is well. Speak to your BCN IRS what she is there for

    Hi

It could mean they haven't yet discussed which treatment would be better for you so cannot give you a time frame of sessions.

Quite a few chemo patients are being given some form of oral chemo tablets due to this present Covid nightmare and keeping hospital visits to a minimum so this may be taken into consideration as well ?

I would give it until after the Easter weekend (in case you receive a letter in the post) then give them a ring Tuesday to see if they can clarify what they have planned for you.

Hope this is of some help, G ' J
