I knew I was high risk, but it's scary they also think so and sent the text!
Hey Margaret Northerner I know what you mean about this social distancing and how long it has to gon on for.....my hubby keeps asking if he can come out of the garage!!!!
Been thinking of you when they mention on the news about people shouldn't go to their caravans - have you been banned?!!

I spoke to the radiotherapist in December, running through reasons it's given after a mastectomy. So I'm guessing that's what will happen. He said that I could have it, but I was borderline in the terms of benefit, and the side effects meant that he wouldn't advise it in my case. If I ever (god forbid!) have a recurrence I can still have it then.
I'm glad I'm out of active treatment apart from hormone blockers, which I'm off until my eye is seen, as there's enough to worry about!
I remember feeling tired after my mastectomy too for a few weeks, I think partly from the anaesthetic and partly from the massive healing going on.When I'd my nuclear bone scan to show fast growing cells and check for secondaries in the bones there was a big white rectangle over my left boob showing the whole area healing! Take it easy, and see if you can get spoilt a bit!

No text here in Kent yet.
Had final Chemotherapy last Tuesday so I guess I will have 11 more weeks of staying home except Ct scan and Radiotherapy. I assume treatment is continuing unless I hear otherwise.
The district nurses have no ppe yet so she supported me to self inject which I managed, a bit shaky but I did it. Visits cancelled to reduce infection risk and frees up staff for others.
Emotions all over the place, so far side effects not too bad, thanks to regular senna and plenty of fluids.
Because of the steroids and the bathroom visits I've been awake in the wee small hours and heard a lot more birds tweeting than usual due to the minimal flights in the South East - - even saw a Heron flying very close but it vanished before I could take a snap.
Northerner my husband looked at me like I lost the plot when I said he has got to stay a broom handles length away from me!
Stay safe everyone x
It's 12 weeks from the text, so another 12 weeks! X
I've just had the text as well, also on Herceptin finished Chemo end of Oct.
Sad sod that I am, I still have the leaflet guidelines that I got when I received my first Herceptin injection and amongst a whole range of side effects it does mention low counts of white and red blood cells which may effect 1 in 10 so guessing that they are not taking any chances.
It's a daunting prospect but we've got through treatment and I know we can manage this.
XOXO
just wait til he reads the advice for high risk... they on gov.uk site they clearer sometimes as oppose s to listening to Boris waffling Although have to say these Guidlines are ambiguous ..Things like stay indoors ..can open window for air ...really ..bit extreme ..
can I go in garden ??? Can't find the answer although my head say yes it not airborne virus .
My next Herceptin due on 30 th who knows if I'll still get it . Don't think I'd be able to do it myself it usually Hurts me like hell going in . So I'd just pull needle out .one of the chemo nursesives nearby Margaret get say I'm willing to drop my trousers in garden and she can do it out there
bloods due and heart echo all up in air if no letter or call from Onco will ring at end of week .
keep well try to stay upbeat ,my anxiety gone thru roof this week back to when diagnosed .Didnt know what it was til then I'll be better once I know exactly what I can and can't do . I deal with it with humour try the Awake thread if you like a laugh were all mad lol
Hubby only allowed out to walk the dog He 73 with RA so not had text but need to be careful as does everyone .
By the way it takes about 8 weeks for chemo to get out of system so you may be glad of house arrest .
keep safe

Hi there, it is an airborne illness too, though quite heavy so you'd have to to be within 2m of an infected person, and the risk drops off quickly (if someone 1m away coughed or sneezed you could get it.) The biggest risk is touching things which are contaminated, and to a lesser extent that can include clothing and the food you buy in the shops. We've started wiping down food packets where possible and washing fruit and veg in soapy water just in case. I had a parcel collected today and the man asked us to put the parcel on the step and stand back before he collected it, keeping his distance!
I'm supposed to have my next Herceptin tomorrow and am also due the next round of tests before the next one so will update you on what happens.
Will be asking loads of questions re going out in the garden etc so will let you know what they say.
Stay safe.
Just received my wife's, just wondering if there all worded the same, I'm also half expecting one for here Addison's disease as well.
Also in for herceptin on Monday, think we'd sooner have it the car park.
