Hi,
Had my first out of five chemo sessions yesterday! The unit was so short staffed, poor nurses were run off their feet!
I had my first treatment with FEC-T fir triple negative diagnosis. The waiting to get started was the worst! ..I opted for the cold cap, which much better than I thought! I was spurred on by a lovely woman who was 73 using the other cap! I'm 44 so she was encouraging and supportive!
I arrived home after being in the hospital for 5.5hrs . And felt pretty okay, had food and plenty of water, around 7.30pm was totally exhausted! Feeling okay today, a little sluggish! Am currently sat in the car park at Tesco, sent my husband in to do the shopping! Needed to get out of the 4 walls for a while, so in the car with a book!
Have to wait 3 weeks for next treatment! Feeling oddly determined today!
Hope everyone is okay!
Thanks
Mel x
