Starting chemotherapy in a few weeks I don't know what to think. Is it a nasty treatment?
HI gina62
Sorry you're going to have to go through chemo. I didn't have it - only needed lumpectomy and radiotherapy, but you might want to join in on this thread as you'll get a good idea of what to expect from the ladies currently undergoing chemo.
Kindest wishes,
Hi gina62,
Sorry you are having to have chemo, but just try to think of it as a step closer to wellness.
What treatment are you having? I had 3 lots of EC then 3 Docetaxel.
I can honestly say I was ok on EC, side effects wise apart from hair loss. Docetaxel wasn’t great for me but it was manageable.

EC pertuzumab Trastuzumab Paclitaxel don't really understand it yet, trying to get my head around it. x
Hi gina62
That regime is for those that are HER2+ positive....
The Pertuzumab Trastuzumab are targeted biological therapies for treating HER2+ Other names for these 2 are Herceptin and Perjeta, so if you see those mentioned here they are the same
The EC and Paclitaxel are chemo drugs to zap the cancer.
Similar to what J had but Pertuzumab wasn't around then.
Hugs, G n' J
They say that cancer as a link to a high fat diet yet the breast unit said it as nothing to do with diet unlike other cancers, I am so confused at the moment.
Hiya gina62
According to the internet everything can cause cancer.
Having a healthy, well balanced diet will only lower the risks, but literally anyone from a one year old to someone who has lived to be 90 can get lumbered with this cr*p disease.
