Early days breast cancer.

Hi gina62 and welcome to the Macmillan online community.  Although, naturally none of us wanted to be here, but having found us you will be in 'safe hands' with a wealth of knowledge and support.

It's understandable that you are emotional and in shock at the start of this - I think everyone is when we get diagnosed.

Perhaps you could let us know what has happened to bring you here.  Is it you that has been diagnosed with BC or a member of your family?  Has it been confirmed as breast cancer yet? If so, what have they said regarding stage, grade and type?

Once we know a little more information you will find many ladies who have 'been there and done that' and can give you plenty of advice.

Just a couple of things: (a) don't panic -breast cancer treatment is developing in leaps and bounds constantly and the fact that this is a very busy group shows how many of us are around having got through/going through treatment.  I was diagnosed 2.5 years ago and within a month a new test was available which I didn't have in relation to my treatment plan. and (b) Don't Google - it is woefully out of date and there are a lot of crackpot sites out there!  Just rely on Macmillan, Cancer Research UK and Breast Cancer.org and you will find this information is up to date and accurate.

You will see a 'profile' section in your account, if you wanted to fill more of your history in there (including dates), then this will help people when they answer any questions you have.

Hi Gina62 I go back next week for my plan I've had 3 biopsy 1 benign 1 cancer 1 I'm waiting results xx

Yes I have a lump said have 2 small next to it, do you have any other symptoms x

Hi gina62 no I have no other symptoms I couldn't feel anything so was shocked feel bit better today my nurse has rang to see if I'm ok xx

Hope your OK? That's good sounds like it's at a early stage. I had a mammogram under 2 years ago it was clear, I went back before my routine mammagram as I have a lump and they found two small once next to it and calcium flecks. x

Do you have a lump as I do and two small ones. Yes Ill stay in touch. Have they done a biopsy or did they tell you at the mammogram and scan x
