Hi everyone. I went to my GP on Monday as I noticed a slight change to my right breast. I had implants in April 2011 so I’m not sure if this change could be in anyway related to this, however I have been referred urgently to the breast clinic and I have already got my appointment which is this Tuesday. I am absolutely terrified. My dads sister had breast cancer and his aunt so it is in the family.
Hi
sorry you find yourself on here but welcome . This is the best place to get support from people who know what your going through.
My story on profile just click on my name to read . If you haven't already fill yours in to help others when they respond .
First of all take a breath ... it's good that your appointment has come thru quickly most hospitals follow a policy of two week deadline.
This is the worst time for you the waiting in between meetings and appointment. Take someone with you on Tuesday so they can take notes if your head all over . Please don't google it's usually out of date . Also don't try to second guess what is going to be said .
Write down any questions you may have . I don't have any experience with regards implants but I'm sure others will be along shortly to support you .
Have a browse around threads and read some of the stories this is community that is full of support for others .

I know it’a really hard not to feel terrified when you don’t know and it’s hard not to think about it. I really hope you will find out soon and that it’s nothing. Stay out of Google for now as it will just make you feel more anxious. Try to do activities that can take your mind off it for now (I know easier said than done) and bring someone for support to your appointments if you can.
I think I have read everything on the internet! Definitely
making me more nervous. Thank you x
My husband will be coming with me on Tuesday thankfully. I’m not sure even what questions to ask. Unfortunately I have read too much online already which was silly but I couldn’t help myself. As it’s not a lump, I wanted to see if a dent was normal. There’s no dimpling, no puckering, no pain, no heat and no redness. Haven’t found anything similar to mine so far. Trying to tell myself that’s positive lol
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
