Hiya

I'm 4 weeks post lumpectomy and removal of several nodes. I think I've read somewhere that it can be common to have firm area of breast post surgery. I'm wondering just how common this is. I can feel an area of firmness or almost a lump about the size of a large golf ball to the side of my scar.

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I can't answer your question, having not had this operation, but I noticed that your post had gone unanswered. This is probably because this group is so busy posts often disappear off the first page before they've had a chance to be read. By replying to you it will 'bump' your post back to the top of the first page where it has a chance of being seen.

  • Hi

i have the same and am 15 months down the line. I have seen my breast consultant about it and had routine mammogram and all ok. He says scar tissue and its to be expected. Mine also feels swollen in the mornings and eases off as i move around.
