I'm 4 weeks post lumpectomy and removal of several nodes. I think I've read somewhere that it can be common to have firm area of breast post surgery. I'm wondering just how common this is. I can feel an area of firmness or almost a lump about the size of a large golf ball to the side of my scar.

I can't answer your question, having not had this operation, but I noticed that your post had gone unanswered. This is probably because this group is so busy posts often disappear off the first page before they've had a chance to be read. By replying to you it will 'bump' your post back to the top of the first page where it has a chance of being seen.
